Bio-Informatics

Bioinformatics, also referred to as computational biology, is a modern field that combines computer science, statistics, mathematics and engineering with biology. Professionals work on developing tools, techniques and IT systems for analyzing and interpreting complex biological data, such as that obtained from biomedical studies. It makes central and globally accessible databases available to scientists, for use in research studies, to analyze data, make comparisons and develop models.
